What is the SIX Crypto Market Index 10?
The Swiss stock exchange’s in-house benchmark: the ten largest, most liquid crypto assets, cap-weighted, serving as underlying for structured products listed on SIX.
Where the SIX Crypto Market Index 10 falls short statistically
An exchange that lists crypto ETPs, collects their listing fees, and operates the venue where they trade also defines the benchmark many of them track. The conflict is structural and familiar by now (Kraken/CF, Bullish/CoinDesk, Binance/CMC, Nasdaq); the Swiss regulatory wrapper changes the jurisdiction, not the incentive. At n=10 the index fails statistical significance as a market estimator, and its universe is bounded by SIX’s own product-approval pipeline, permission, again, masquerading as measurement.
